A compilation of competency statements that address a broad spectrum of library service and practice.
WebJunction has aggregated and synthesized competency definitions from a number of library organizations, subjected them to vigorous subject matter expert review, and published them in the attached Competency Index for the Library Field.
WebJunction intends for the Index to be a compilation from which a wide variety of libraries can build competency sets to meet their individual needs. Please feel free to download the pdf (1.85 MB), distribute widely, re-mix, and re-purpose as you see fit.
