RE: Need help?

I have tried to no avail to get to my previous discussion board. First I tried to copy and past the direct link into my browser (after logging in) - that just looped me back to the homepage. Next, I logged into "MyWebJunction" and tried to click on one of my past posts but that either looped me back to the homepage or gave me a "Page cannot be displayed message" (more often it looped me back to the homepage.) Finally, I tried to browse and search for it and found it impossible to locate not only my forum but other discussions that I frequently lurked.

Help!

Hi Lindsey,
I'd like to help find those discussions you've been following. There is a list that may help get you in the right area...the Where's my discussion forum? list. If that's not getting you there, let us know (support@webjunction.org), and we can dig deeper.

And thank you for the deets on the bugginess around discussion links as they appear in search and in My WJ.

Boo.

I still couldn't find it. It's a private forum - I don't know if that is the cause of it (or it could be, er, well, user error). I sent an e-mail to support for more explanation. I know that others are accessing it because it is a discussion board that I "watch" and I've been receiving a ton of messages.

Thanks for trying to help poor little ole me.

I have completed the Rural Library Sustainability course and when I try to push the complete the course button to go to certificate area nothing happens! I have tried to do this on two computers with the same result. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks - Amy

Thank you for the help with above issue. It worked out well. Now to my next question. (neverending..lol) How do you move a course to the history once you are completed?
Thanks.emoticon

Amy,

I'm posting this as a follow-up to the e-mail we sent you.

We apologize for any issues related to completing the Rural Library Sustainability course. I have moved the course to your Courses History section. Occasionally, we have to give the status a bit of a nudge to move the course to the Courses History section.

You can click on the "Print Certificate" button next to that course to print your certificate of completion.

Please let me know if I can be of additional assistance.

Thank you,
Chris

Amy,

We currently offer courses from three vendors [SkillSoft, The University of North Texas and LibraryU.] While specifics may vary from vendor to vendor, there is usually a course test that will need to be passed for the course to move to Courses History.

The University of North Texas (UNT) courses are a little different. We don't currently have a way to alter the status of UNT courses since they are tracked off-site at UNT. UNT courses will have a status of "In Progress" on WebJunction. Since the courses aren't able to be set as "Complete" on our end, they won't move to the Courses History section. Most members retain their course certificates as proof that their courses were completed.

If you have any further questions about specific course vendors, please feel free to contact us at:

courses@webjunction.org

Thanks,
Chris
